Happy Birthday Dad

TodayMay 7th my dad is 97 years old. He has lived during a time of great change. He has witnessed man walking on the moon, he has witnessed the computer age, he has seen his small TV with a magnifying glass turn into a Digital big screen on the wall. He has watched automobiles go from little two seaters to huge trucks and SUV,s. He loved his brand new VW the first year they were out.

He has watched his two daughters grow, marry and give to him 16 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

He enjoyed his game of golf, his dogs, reading novels, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of fortune. Enjoyed traveling with his fifth wheel. Loves his candy.

At age 92 he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and was sealed to his wife and daughters the following year.

He is very ill right now and is anxious to continue his life in the spirit world with his one and only love who left us in 2007.

My dad told me he was going to live to be 100. Hasn't quite made it but has come really close.
Love you dad especially for giving me a love of music, nature and adventure.
PS Today is May 15. During the early morning hours of this dad my dad was reunited with
my mom. I know the reunion was sweet and happy

What a great tribute. He is lucky to have such a loving daughter to watch over him during his final days. I hope he has a good day today.
