We Just Keep On Going!

We just keep on going. It seems like the time to write comes quicker each week. The time really speeds by when you are going every day. Today is p-day and we are just catching up on some things. Now that we have p-day on Monday we don't have the whole day as we did before, because family home evening is tonight. We have also been meeting with one of our new Chinese members on Monday before FHE because he comes into town for that. He lives quite a way out of town. We have also been meeting with Abby's non member friend Sophia. We have met with Sophia three times now. Don't really know where we are with her. If she really is interested we need to send her off to the stake she lives in. Today we will really get into things. Will show the Restoration DVD and then talk about the Sabbath day, she works on Sunday. See how much more she wants to know after that. Will also give a Baptism commitment. She actually has been baptized by immersion in the church she goes to. Should be an interesting discussion.
We had a really good zone conference on Tuesday. I really admire Pres. and Sis Lee. They really have to put up with a lot from some of the Elders. Always problems. Please train up your boys to be able to care for themselves and keep a clean room and be respectful of those in authority over them. President Lee is constantly having to take care of these stupid type of problems. We have it so good as missionaries. We get to enjoy all the good things that are happening. We have a new Assistant, Elder Cox is due to go home in the next transfers so we have Elder Simons from Nephi, Utah. I told him we have relatives buried there. We were given a goal to double the baptisms. We are about where we were last year at this time. Pray that Elder and Sister Urmston can find some one to teach.
Our sweet friend Danika Cogger left for Perth. We went to dinner with her on Wednesday and then she asked Elder Urmston to give her a blessing before she left. We shall miss her. It will take her 5 days to get to Perth. She and a friend are driving there. She has a new type of job and is excited to start a new life.

When we went to see Seraiah this week we were getting in the car and guess what was in the tree eating berries? A beautiful yellow crested Cockatoo. I wanted to catch it. I guess from what I was told that they are every where just flying around.

Elder Urmston spoke on Sunday. He did a very good job. Everyone commented on how good it was. He was able to speak with Abby. It was the first time she has ever given a talk. It was beautiful. So very sincere and humble. She spoke in English which is very impressive to all the other Chinese young people. Sunday night was a Chinese Fireside. It was not attended as well as it should have been. Jane spoke at that. Elder Brown translated it for us. So good to hear here Testimony. Very strong. President and Sister Lee spoke along with the stake President. It was really cute. Huang Mai's cute daughter was asked at the last minute to translate for Sis. Lee. She is 14. I haven't seen anyone so nervous in along time. She did an excellent job according to Elder Brown. He was really excited for her.
Well off to get the car washed and then back for our discussion. I am taking Tuxedo Brownies to FHE. We will see what they think of the. Mostly I take them for the Elders. Chinese people do not like sweet things very much. Australians don't like things as sweet as Americans. I have used a Devils Food Cake Mix from Australia and one from America to make the Rolo cookies. The cake mix from Australia was not as sweet.
Our testimonies grow each day as we see the Lord help us to know what we should do. One of the things you learn very quickly when you serve a mission is to call on the Lord for help often.Hopefully we are doing what we are suppose to so that we will hear the spirit guide and direct us. Thanks for your prayers on our behalf. We pray for you and look forward to any word from home and family.
Love, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Elder and Sister Urmston
