We have been blessed with 38 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They bring us great joy. They are happy, healthy, bright and good. We thank our 8 children and their great spouses for these wonderful young people.
We spent the weekend being spiritually fed. What a great honor it was for us to be a part of the Solomn Assembly, even if it was a week late. We were greatly blessed to have many of our new special friends there to witness this also. Our cute little Jimmy and Annie were brought by their dad. They sat with us while their dad listened in Chinese in the Primary room. We were very aware of President Monsons nervousness on Saturday. When Dean came home from Priesthood session he said to me, President Monson is back. On Sunday we also recognized that the mantel was there. We loved his closing comments with the personal touch. The music was beautiful especially the BYU chorus and then I loved the Choirs rendition of He Sent His Son. I love the Primary songs. I look forward to reading many of the talks again. I was touched by Elder Hales and Elder Uchtdorf. Sister Lant and traditions and Elder Ballard about Mothers were great. Elder Bednar always the missionary. Also it was nice to hear our old friend Gerald Lund. Our sweet Abby who is new to a lot of the feelings of the spirit, told me that she really feels good inside when she listens to the Apostles and wants to do better.I feel the same way.
I have mentioned Huang Mai before. She is the women whose flat we use for Family Home Evening. She is a conve

rt of about 4 years. She has two children, Steven and Emma. Steven served a mission in New Zealand and is now attending Uni. Emma is 14. They are great people. Huang Mai is now Lisa Huangs visiting teacher. She is doing a great job. We are working together to help this family understand the importance of the Gospel. She offered to teach the kids Mandarin so they can go to church. When asked if we could help her with the cost of the food for Family Home Evening, she just shakes her hand at us and says she is paid by the Lord. Sweet wonderful lady with a very strong testimony of the Gospel. She is a great example to us.
We started to teach Deniz Sun the Temple Preparation classes this week. We were happy that the Bishop gave us this opportunity. She is a very special young women and we pray that as the lessons end she will be able to receive her endowment and that we can share in that special time with her.
As we look back on our experience here so far, we are amazed at the numbers of people we have met. First the wonderful Elders in our zone. They have been so helpful and kind to us as we learned what we should be doing. The other Elders and sisters that we work with. They are great examples to us and we hope that their parents recognize the greatness in them. President and Sister Lee are great leaders, very complimentary and uplifting to us all. All the people in our two wards that we have met. Our wonderful sweet older members have taught us well to endure through all trials. The great new members in the Chinese zone. Their sweet testimonies lift us and our testimonies grow as we associate with them. The less actives that we have been able to work with. We see the hand of the Lord working to bring them back. I loved President Monsons invitation to them to come back.
We want you all to know how much we love you. You are great examples to us also, As we read of the the service you give in your wards and in the stake we marvel at how blessed we are to have great children and grandchildren. We so aappreciate the e-mails that we get. We love to hear about everything you are doing, even if you don't think it is interesting, remember that it is the only way we are connected to you. Be strong in your Testimonies of Jesus Christ. Let people know who you are and what you stand for.
Love, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Elder and Sister Urmston
