We are having a wonderful experience here is Melbourne Australia. We have met great people and have enjoyed becoming a part of two different wards. There is a lot of work to be done here. The ward boundaries are very big and the number of active members not so big. Fairfield Ward is a good strong ward with many active people. Caulfield Ward is struggling. They have many students and transient people.
We are working with the Chinese speaking Elders. They teach and Baptize and after the new member lessons they release them to us. We are then to continue meeting with them to keep them strong. We do a lot of driving and map hunting to find people.
On January 16 we are having two stake Chinese New Year Celebration. We were asked to coordinate the event between the two wards. It has an attendence of over 400 people. Great Missionary event.
The weather continues to be baffling. One day very hot, like Bakersfield in August, the next day it is cloudy and cool. It can also be that way in one day.
City life is very different. Traffic is really bad between 4:30 and 6:30. Lots of cars and people running to get the train. Every nationality, heavy with Chinese.
We enjoy hearing from you and hearing about what is happening in the States

We love you and appreciate your tremendous enthusiasm for the people and the Gospel. We are well. Moved Mother today to our daughters and Karen broke her tail bone 2 weeks ago trying to be a young roller skater. Wanted grandchildren to see her in action. They saw it.
We pray for you.
Paul and Karen
It is wonderful to read about your mission and your experiences. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, We keep you in our prayers and keep an eye out for Jaida's letter. Some of her writing would be better left unsaid! But, that what kids are for, to tell the truth about what is going on
