We love our life

We love our life here serving as missionaries. We have met so many wonderful people. The Elders and Sisters continue to teach us so many things. The members are so very thoughtful and kind. President and Sister Lee are very special people with a huge responsibility. They are so very diligent in making sure that the missionaries are safe and taking good care of themselves. They love them, even when it is difficult. We had a great zone conference. I made it through this one without beating myself up. I have come to terms with myself and what I am doing here. It has taken some time and I am sure I will doubt myself again, but for now things are good. I am very impressed with our Assistants. They are Elders Tibbits and Cox. Two very excellent missionaries and great teachers. They are continually sharing testimony and helping us with ideas to better ourselves. The very sad part was that Elder Tee from Malaysia will be going home next transfers. I will miss him

Wednesday we went to the Temple as a Zone. When we arrived we were surprised to see that President and Sister Lee and the Assistants were there. What a great session to have 18 missionaries. Afterwards pictures and some decided to go to lunch and we were invited. Great new restaurant on our list. Sofia's. Italian very nice. That evening we had a great sister here for dinner with two of our Chinese young women. She is a good example of a convert women and she told of her conversion and now they know someone else.

We also had interviews this week with President Lee. He asks us how we are and we say we are fine and then we talk.

On Saturday we attended another baptism. This was Sis Gao. She is in her 40's has a teenage daughter and a husband who works all of the time. Elder Nielsens first week here he found her. His Chinese language was not very good. Elder Lee his companion said he was a little separated from him and when he looked up their was Elder Nielsen talking to this lady in Chinese. When he came over he realized the women didn't understand anything Elder Nielsen had said. So he spoke to her and she wanted to hear more. It has been two months and Elder Nielsens Chinese has improved tremendously. This young man is constantly studying. It was a wonderful baptism, Elder Nielsens first and in Mandarin. He also gave a talk in Mandarin and then translated it into English. Elder Lee is one of the best trainers. His companions hate him and then love him. Another good Sunday. Sariah was at Church again and also Peita. It is really exciting to see them come in. No Brocas. We did talk to them and they were going away for the day. Keep praying for them.
Thought it might be interesting for you to see the kind of For Sale signs they have here in Australia
Here is a picture of one of the many schools here in Melboune, it reminds me of Hogwarts. It is a school for the deaf.

Saturday night we were home early and decided to go for a walk. This is a holiday weekend here in Australia. It is their labor day. There were people everywhere. There was a carnival going down by the river. We made our big square that we walk. I was so very uncomfortable out amongst the people. All I wanted to do was get back to our flat. The world is a scary place. Stay safe.
Thanks for your prayers on our behalf and your love and your e-mails. We love you all and pray for you. Mom and Dad Grandma and Grandpa

Thank you for the update. Each time I read you notes, it takes me back to South Texas. Thank you.

Have you had many opportunities to teach? How does that all work? Or do you only work with the lesss active and new converts?

We love you and miss you. Enjoy every minute.
